I have to give a big shout out to my Brother in Law, PJ. He has been so instrumental in helping me navigate the waters of crowd funding and social media. He showed me a website he created for the book yesterday and it was so awesome! He has certainly taken a lot of the fear and anxiety out of this step for me, so thank you P.J.
Everything is nearly together, which means that the campaign should launch this week. It is hard to believe that in 30 days I could potentially be on the way to publishing a book. In a way, though, I am not surprised. This story has been in my heart for a long time and the ease which it transferred to paper was unbelievable.
I once participated in a study conducted by Adam Hamilton where he used the analogy that God was a co-writer with us in our lives. The story unfolded as human and God work together to create the life of the person on earth. God always adjusts our stories to give us the ability to have the greatest potential, but we have the free will to make choices for the good and for the bad. But, it is important to consider that it is God's love who always will give us the opportunity to choose good and choose God.
I felt that guidance while writing this book. Certain elements presented themselves in the story which I had not planned for or thought much about. It may sound corny, but I thought these moments God was helping me make the characters more human and their need to find Him more real. I am not sure how many people will pick up this book, but I know that I learned a lot from writing it and I hope everyone who dreams of telling a story does so. It is a learning experience that helps you become more understanding of yourself and, in my case, closer with God.
